This is an opportunity to work at the progressive, innovative traffic operations center of one of the highest rated state governments in the nation.  The transportation modeler provides traffic analysis and modeling support for UDOT design projects using forecast modeling and microsimulation software.  The transportation modeler prepares documentation of data collection, traffic analysis, and design recommendations.  The transportation modeler oversees and reviews traffic engineering work developed by others. 

Minimum Qualifications:  Must be a registered engineer in Utah.  And must have a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. 

This position may be filled as an Engineer II for those who do not meet the minimum qualifications of the Transportation Modeler (Engineer III).  Also, engineers licensed in other states may fill as a level II pending licensure in Utah.
